Step 1
Design & Material Selection
Choose high-grade leather (vegetable-tanned or top-grain). Create or use a precision pattern and trace shapes onto the leather surface.

Step 2
Cutting Pieces
Use a sharp rotary cutter and ruler to cut clean edges. Keep leather lightly oiled to prevent cracking.

Step 3
Edge Skiving & Grooving
Skive edges where folds or seams will be to reduce bulk and mark stitching lines evenly with a groove tool.

Step 4
Edge Burnishing
Apply edge conditioner, then use a slicker to burnish until smooth and polished.

Step 5
Punch Stitch Holes
Use pricking irons or awl to create evenly spaced holes big enough for needles and waxed thread.

Step 6
Saddle Stitching
Hand-stitch with two needles, one thread. Pull each stitch tight and evenly for maximum strength.

Step 7
Final Edge Finishing & QC
Lightly burnish again, dye or wax edges if needed, inspect seams and functionality, and press the Atelish logo.

Step 8
Packaging
Carefully wrap the wallet in a canvas pouch or branded box to preserve its appearance during shipping or display.
